Sam Blaskowski of
Oshkosh (West) is set to compete in the 60-meter dash at the 2024 USA Track & Field (USATF) Indoor Championships Friday-Saturday, February 16-17. Competition is scheduled for the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Blaskowski will run in the preliminaries Saturday, February 17 at 3:20 p.m. (Central). He is currently ranked 13th out of 17 individuals entered in the event with a time of 6.67 and will run in the final of three heats. The finals of the 60-meter dash are set for Saturday, February 17 at 4:56 p.m. (Central). The top-two in each heat plus the next fastest two times advance to the finals.
Currently ranked first on the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Honor Roll with his time of 6.64. That time, is the NCAA III record which he set at the
Mark Guthrie Legacy Invitational February 3rd. Blaskowski now holds the seven fastest times in NCAA Divion III history.
Saturday marks the second year in a row that Blaskowki will compete in the 60-meter dash at the USATF Indoor Championships. Last year, Blaskwoski placed fifth out of 23 sprinters (seven in finals) with a time of 6.67, which at the time broke the NCAA III record.
At the 2023 NCAA III Indoor National Championships, Blaskowki became the second sprinter in school history to win a national title in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.71. He also finished second at the national championships in the 200-meter dash.
Up next for Blaskowski after this weekend will be the Wisconsin Intercolleigate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Indoor Championships Friday, February 23 and Saturday, February 24 at UW-Whitewater. Blaskowski will attempt to defend his WIAC Titles in both the 60-meter and 200-meter dash.
