Men's Track and Field Competes at MSU-Mankato, Boston University and UW-Whitewater

Maverick Premier Results, Valentin Invitational Results, UW-Whitewater Midwest Elite Results

La Crosse, Wis. - Members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track and field team competed at Minnesota State University - Mankato Maverick Premier, Boston University (MA) David Hemery Valentine Invitational and the UW-Whitewater Midwest Elite Friday and Saturday.

THE BASICS

Maverick Premier Results: Luke Schroeder was the only Eagle that competed at the Maverick Premier.

Boston University (MA) Davied Hemery Valentin Invitational Results: Cael Schoemann and Ethan Gregg were the only two Eagles that competed at the Vanlentine Invitational
Location: Boston University Track and Tennis Center, Boston, Mass.
UW-Whitewater Midwest Elite Results: UW-La Crosse finished first with 170 points followed by UW-Oshkosh with 87 points. Rounding out the top five teams was Loras College in third (82 points), UW-Whitewater fourth (64 points) and UW-Stevens Point fifth (48.5 points).

Up next: The Eagles will be back home on Friday, February 16 when they host the UW-La Crosse Eagle Open. Competition is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.

THE RESULTS

FIELD EVENTS

High Jump - Nathan Andringa won the high jump with a mark of 6-9.
Pole Vault - Logan Larson on the pole vault with a mark of 16-2 while JT Zell finished fourth (15-6 1/4).
Triple Jump - The Eagles had three of the top five jumpers in the triple jump with Nick Crary finishing second (47-0 3/4) to lead the way. William Cady was third (46-11 3/4) while Carter Pearson was fifth (46-2 3/4).
Shot Put - Ben Youngworth had the top mark for the Eagles as he finished fourth with a throw of 52-10 3/4.
Weight Throw - Aiden Williams finished third in the weight throw with a throw of 58-8 3/4 while Logan Powers was fith (56-6 1/2).

TRACK EVENTS

Mile - Joey Sullivan led three Eagles in the top five of the mile as he won the even in a time of 4:11.95. Aidan Manning was fourth (4:13.70) and Jayden Zywicki was fifth (4:14.72).
60-meter hurdles - Luke Schroeder competed in the 60 hurdles at the Minnesota State-Mankato Maverick Premier and finished first with a time of 7.91. Chad Thompson Jr. was the Eagles top finisher at the UW-Whitewater Midwest Elite as he finished fifth with a time of 8.34.
200-meter - Ethan Turbeville led three Eagles in the top five as he won the event with a time of 22.20. Finishing fourth was Paul Lough in a time of 22.36 while Spencer Reichart was fifth (22.46).
800-meter - Cael Schoemann competed at the Valentin Invitational in the 800 meter race finishing 47th out of 265 runners in a time of 1:51.10. Parker Heintz was one of two Eagles to finish in the top three of the 800 at the UW-Whitewater Midwest Elite as he won the event in a time of 1:53.65. Michael Madoch finished third with a time of 1:54.55.
5000-meter - Ethan Gregg competed in the 5,000 meter run at the Boston University Valentine Invitational and finished 96th out of 125 runners with a time of 14:09.62. UWL took home the top five spots in the 5000-meter run with Adam Loenser winning the event in a time of 14:15.55. Aidan Matthai was second (14:15.79) while Grant Matthai was third (14:16.74), Isaac Wegner fourth (14:27.29) and Corey Fairchild fifth (14:35.63).
