Rochester, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's swimming & diving team completed first day action at the Rochester Invitational Thursday night at the Rochester-Olmstead County Recreation Center Natatorium.
The Eagles are in fifth-place with 341.0 team points. Minnesota State University Mankato leads the 10-team invitational with 587.0 points.
UWL's
Joanne Banaszak was second (422.10 points) and
Hannah Martini sixth (368.60) in the three-meter diving competition on Thursday.
Other individuals finishing in the top-16 included
Ava Pulvermacher 10th (5:14.60) and
Amelia Olson 16th (5:28.96) in the 500 freestyle while
Libby Cleveland was 11th (24.18) in the 50 freestyle.
Zoey Rank placed 12th (2:10.99) and
Autumn Seebach 13th (2:12.02) in the 200 I.M. while
Emily Schoenbrodt was 13th (59.02) and
Shefali Ramakrishnan 16th (59.27) in the 100 butterfly.
The Eagles had a pair of relays finish in the top-nine. Mikayla Knaffla,
Callie Klepp, Ramakrishnan and Cleveland were eighth (1:47.37) in the 200 medley relay while Seebach, Pulvermacher,
Reilly Eiynck and Schoenbrodt finished ninth (7:58.44) in the 800 freestyle relay.
