Decorah, Iowa - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's swimming & diving team captured the Luther College (Iowa) Invitational Saturday night. The Eagles finished with 1,099.5 points while Luther (Iowa) was second with 962.0.

UW-Whitewater placed third (764.5) and Coe College (Iowa) fourth (286.0).

Joanne Banaszak won the one-meter diving title on Saturday (434.30 points) with
Hannah Martini second (426.50),
Madison DeBernardo third (398.45),
Madeline Weber fourth (390.85),
Abbey Thornton sixth (389.50) and
Eden Mortensen eighth (341.70).

UWL's
Shefali Ramakrishnan and
Zoey Rank tied for second (59.78) in the 100 butterfly while
Lily Rosenau was sixth (1:01.53). Rosenau was eighth (25.59) in the 50 freestyle with
Libby Cleveland fourth (24.91).

In the 100 breaststroke, the Eagles had four of the top-six finishers as
Callie Klepp was second (1:10.52),
Emily Hauke third (1:10.78),
Abi Schauske fifth (1:13.17) and
Hannah Wadholm sixth (1:13.54).

UWL had four top of the top-eight finishes in the 200 backstroke.
Kayla Knaffla placed second (2:12.63),
Jordy Hahlen fourth (2:19.16),
Paige Rundahl fifth (2:19.47) and
Ava Pulvermacher eighth (2:28.06).

Brooke Laube was third (2:02.50) and
Amelia Olson seventh (2:06.26) in the 200 freestyle with
Makenzie Wallace finishing third (4:53.41) and Pulvermacher seventh (5:07.99) in the 400 I.M.Â
Ella Eck placed sixth (19:48.14),
Megann Jobin seventh (19:54.26) and Schauske eighth (19:55.40).

UWL had a pair of top-three relays. The 200 medley relay of Knaffla, Klepp, Ramakrishnan and Cleveland were second (1:49.75) while
Emily Schoenbrodt, Knaffla, Laube and Cleveland placed third (3:40.54).
