Decorah, Iowa - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's swimming & diving team is in second-place after the first day of the Luther College (Iowa) Invitational Friday night.

The Eagles have 436 team points. Luther (Iowa) leads with 486 points. UW-Whitewater is third with 361 points and Coe College (Iowa) fourth with 170.

UWL had three relays in the top-three on Friday, including taking the 400 medley relay (4:06.11) with
Kayla Knaffla,
Zoey Rank,
Shefali Ramakrishnan and
Libby Cleveland.

Autumn Seebach,
Ava Pulvermacher, Rank and Reilly Eiycnk were second (8:18.68) in the 800 freestyle relay while Knaffla,
Brooke Laube,
Callie Klepp and Cleveland were third (1:40.70).

The Eagles won three individual event titles on Friday, including
Joanne Banaszak in the three-meter diving (445.40 points). Seebach captured the 100 backstroke (59.38) and Rank the 100 I.M. (1:01.53).

UWL had five of the top-seven finishers in the three-meter diving. Along with Banaszak winning,
Hannah Martini was second (439.45), Maddie Weber fourth (428.55),
Madison DeBernardo sixth (341.75) and
Abbey Thornton seventh (341.60).

Seebach was third (2:15.03) and
Jordy Hahlen eighth (2:23.10) in the 200 I.M. while Ramakrishnan finished sixth (1:03.72) and Laube seventh (1:03.92) in the 100 I.M.

In the 100 freestyle, Cleveland was fourth (54.58) and Pulvermacher eighth (58.75). Pulvermacher also finished eighth (5:43.24) in the 500 freestyle.

Ella Eck placed second (2:36.19) in the 200 breaststroke with Klepp fifth (2:37.55).

Hahlen was fourth (1:01.38), Cleveland fifth (1:01.99), Rank seventh (1:02.61) and Ramakrishnan eighth (1:03.27) in the 100 backstroke.
Grace Radke finished sixth (2:26.52),
Amelia Hayward seventh (2:35.50) and
Riley Siegle eighth (2:37.74) in the 200 butterfly.
