La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team outscored Bethel University (Minn.) 27-8 in the fourth quarter to lead them to a 73-57 win Friday night at Mitchell Hall.

HOW DID IT HAPPEN
- UWL opened the game by scoring nine of the first 13 points to lead 9-4 with 6:26 left in the first quarter. The Eagles would extend their lead to 14-7 on a three-pointer from Madisyn Kilboten with 3:58 left. The Royals of Bethel University would cut their deficit to 17-12 at the end of the first quarter.
- Bethel would make a run of their own to start the second quarter as they took a 25-21 (4:09) lead on a 13-4 run. The Royals would extend their lead to 30-23 for its largest lead of the first half with 2:33 left. The Eagles would then close the first half on a 10-1 run to lead 33-31 at the break. Five different players scored during the fun for the Eagles.
- With the score tied at 38 with 5:43 on the clock in the third quarter, Bethel scored six straight to take a 44-38 (3:39) lead. An Anna Garfield three-point with :59 left gave Bethel a 49-44 lead. Lauryn Milne would cut the deficit to 49-46 on a jumper just before the end of the third quarter.
- Ali Sprangers would hit back-to-back three-pointers to start the third quarter and spark an Eagles 17-4 run to turn a three-point deficit into a 63-53 lead with 3:05 left in the game. Bethel would not get any closer than eight (63-55) the rest of the game.

- As a team, the Eagles finished with four players in double figures and seven players with at least seven points. Leading the way for the Eagles was Milne with 13 points while Malia Nelson added 12, Kailee Meeker 11 and Grace Knupp 10.
- Sprangers (8 points) and Lindsey Knuth (7 points) each hit two three-pointers in the fourth quarter to help spark the Eagles comeback.
- Sprangers led the Eagles with five rebounds while Milne, Meeker and Knuth each had four.
- UWL finished shooting 26-of-54 (48.1%) from the floor including nine-of-19 (47.4%) from the three point line. UWL was also 12-of-17 from the free throw line.
