River Falls, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team had their two game winning streak snapped as they fell to UW-River Falls Wednesday night.

HOW DID IT HAPPEN
- Olivia Miron would give the Falcons a 2-0 lead on their first possession but the Eagles would score eight straight including back-to-back three-pointers by Katie Waukau. The Eagles would never trail in the opening quarter as they led 17-15 after the first period. Waukau hit three, three-pointers to lead the Eagles with nine points in the first quarter.
- Waukau would hit her fourth three-pointer of the half followed by a three-pointer from Madisyn Kilboten to extend the Eagles lead to 23-18 with 7:37 left. After UWL took a 25-20 lead, UW-River Falls went on a 13-5 run to take a 33-30 lead with 1:21 left in the second quarter. The Eagles would score the final five points of the half to lead 35-33 at halftime. Lauryn Milne hit a layup and was fouled as time expired for the final points of the half. UWL shot seven-of-11 (63.6%) from the three-point line in the first half.
- The Falcons would score the first nine points of the third quarter to lead 42-35 (7:39). A jumper by Milne and two free throws from Paige Schumann would cut the Eagles deficit to 44-39; however, the Falcons would score nine of the next 11 points to lead 53-41 with 4:00 left in the third quarter. Milne's layup would make it 57-50 before Macy Nilsen hit two free throws to give the Falcons a 59-50 lead at the end of three quarters.
- A Milne jumper would cut the Eagles deficit to 64-56 with 7:51 left in the game but that would be as close as UWL would get the rest of the game. The Falcons would hit six-of-seven free throws in the fourth quarter to help seal the win.

- Milne recorded her third consecutive double-double and fifth of the season as she finished with 18 points and 16 rebounds.
- Kailee Meeker added 13 points and five rebounds while Wauakau finished with 12 points.
- UWL finished 22-of-63 (34.9%) from the floor including eight-of-26 (30.8%) from the three-point line. UWL was also eight-of-12 (66.7%) from the free throw line.
- Nilsen led the Falcons with 23 points while Julia Seidel added 13 points.
- The Falcons shot 25-of-65 (38.5%) from the floor including 10-of-27 (37.0%) from the three-point line. UW-River Falls was also 15-of-20 (75%) from the free throw line.
