Eau Claire, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team dropped their third straight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) match-up as they fell to UW-Eau Claire Saturday night at Zorn Arena.

HOW DID IT HAPPEN
- UW-Eau Claire scored the first five points and took a 10-5 lead with 5:11 left in the first quarter. The Eagles then scored the next 10 points to take a 15-10 lead with 2:42 left. Ali Sprangers and Katie Waukau each hit a three-pointer to spark the run. After a Blugold jumper, Waukau hit a jumper to give UWL a 17-12 lead at the end of the first quarter.
- Kailee Meeker hit a three-pointer to start the second quarter as UWL would extend its lead to 29-16 with 6:21 on the clock. Waukau, Sprangers and Paige Schumann each hit a three-pointer to help the Eagles run. The Blugolds then went on a 16-0 run to take a 32-29 lead with 1:08 left in the half. Sprangers third three-pointer of the half ended the Blugolds run while Meeker's layup gave UWL a 34-32 lead at the half.
- After UWL took a 38-35 lead, UW-Eau Claire went on a 9-0 run to take a 44-38 lead with 5:58 left in the third quarter. Back-to-back three-pointers by Sprangers and Madisyn Kilboten followed by two free throws from Emma Jossie would give the Eagles a 48-46 lead. UW-Eau Claire would score eight of the final 11 points to lead 54-51 after three quarters.
- The Blugolds took a 56-51 lead before the Eagles scored nine of the next 11 points to lead 60-58 with 6:21 left in the game. UW-Eau Claire then scored 14 of the final 17 points for the final score of 72-63. The Blugolds hit six of their final eight free throws to seal the win.

- Meeker led the Eagles with 17 points while Sprangers scored a season high 15 points all on three-pointers and Waukau added 13 points.
- Lauren Milne recorded a team high 11 rebounds to go along with eight points.
- UWL finished 22-of-75 (29.3%) from the floor including 13-of-47 (27.7%) from the three-point line. The Eagles also finished six-of-six from the free throw line.
- Kylie Mogen led four Blugolds in double digits with 21 points. Olivia Pekron added 14 points and 15 rebounds for the Blugolds.
- UW-Eau Claire shot 26-of-59 (44.1%) from the floor including seven-of-21 (33.3%) from the three-point line. The Blugolds also finished 13-of-20 (65.0%) from the free throw line.
