2023 NCAA Division III Championships Website

Pittsford, N.Y. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track & field team is tied for ninth-place after the second day of competition Friday at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Outdoor Championships at Polisseni Track and Field Complex.  The championships are being hosted by St. John Fisher University (N.Y.) and Visit Rochester. 

UWL has 10.0 team points while UW-Eau Claire leads with 31.0. Massachusetts Institute of Technology is in second-place with 20.0 points followed by Williams College (Mass.) in third with 16.0 and Carroll University (Wis.) fourth with 15.0. A total of 41 teams have scored points. 

The Eagles' JT Zell tied for 18th (15-1) in the pole vault on Friday. 

In preliminary action on the track, UWL's Sam Blaskowski advanced to the 100-meter dash final while Cael Schoemann advanced in the 800-meter run. Blaskowski recorded the fastest time in the preliminaries at 10.28. The final is set for Saturday, May 27 at 1:30 p.m.

Schoemann qualified for the final in the 800-meter run with the fifth-fastest time on Friday at 1:49.40.  The 800-meter run final is Saturday at 1:50 p.m. 
 

UWL's Ryder Smith (10.71) and Spencer Reichart (10.81) did not advance to the 100-meter dash final. 

The NCAA Division III Championships conclude Saturday, May 27 with competition starting at 9 a.m.
