La Crosse, Wis. - SIx members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track & field team competed at three meets on Saturday.
The Eagles'
Sam Blaskowski competed in the 100-meter dash at a pair of invitationals. He placed second out of 83 competitors in the 100-meter dash (10.35) at the Azusa Pacific University (Calif.) Invitational at the Cougar Athletic Stadium.
Blaskowski then traveled to the Long Beach State University (Calif.) Invitational where he finished fourth (10.36) out of 69 competitors at the Jack Rose Track. He also ran in the 200-meter dash at Long Beach State (Calif.), placing third (21.05) amongst 56 sprinters.
At the Indiana State University Gibson Invitational, UWL's
Dirk Lueck placed fourth (54.13) and
Payton Flood fifth (54.87) in the 400-meter hurdles. In the 400-meter dash,
Chase Doornink was sixth (48.30),
Tyler Backes seventh (48.50) and
Addison Hill 10th (48.85).
UWL returns to action Friday, April 21 hosting the Phil Esten Challenge at 10:30 a.m.
