Platteville, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track & field team placed sixth at the 14-team UW-Platteville Invitational Friday. The Eagles finished with 71.0 team points while Loras College (Iowa) took the team title with 144.0. The University of Dubuque (Iowa) was second with 122.0.
UWL's
Cameron Sorenson placed second (23-3 1/4) in the long jump on Friday while
William Cady was fourth (47-0 1/4),
Brody Kluge fifth (46-11) and
Nick Crary sixth (45-10 3/4) in the triple jump.
Aiden Williams was fifth (176-0) in the hammer throw (176-0).
Christian Schultz and
Ashton Moody tied for firth (14-6 1/2) in the pole vault while
Nathan Andringa was sixth (6-6) in the high jump.
On the track,
Ryder Smith placed second (21.60) in the 200-meter dash while Jacob Hohman was fifth (50.09) in the 400-meter dash. Cael Schoeman finished fourth (1:53.42) in the 800-meter run with
Lukas Johnson fifth (15.59) and
Chad Thompson Jr. sixth (15.70) in the 100-meter hurdles.
