Thirty-Nine Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

 Thirty-nine University of Wisconsin-La Crosse student-athletes have earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-North Region honors for the 2023 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Indoor Track & Field season.  Twenty-two members of the UWL women's track & field team earned all-region honors while 17 members of the Eagles' men's track & field squad earned recognition. 

To earn All-Region honors, an athlete must be one of the top-five individuals in their respective region on the final TFRRS Descending Order List.  In addition, each member of a region's top-three relay team was also selected for distinction.  The 10 regions used in NCAA Division III are East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West.   

On the women's side, UWL's Julia Anderson (mile run), Emily Dawidowich (200-meter dash, 4x400-meter relay), Araceli De Leo Lopez (pole vault), Skye Digman (shot put, weight throw), Ava Foley (long jump), Maddie Hannan (800-meter run, 3,000-meter run, distance medley relay), Ainsley Hansen (high jump), Maddie Hansen (long jump), Lauren Jarrett (60-meter dash, 200-meter dash), Morgan Jennings (400-meter dash, distance medley relay), Miah Keller (triple jump), Hailie Kent (triple jump), Greta Koehler (distance medley relay), Melanie Kunze (4x400-meter relay), Emma Lawrence (60-meter dash, 60-meter hurdles, 200-meter dash, 4x400-meter relay), Emma Malooly (distance medley relay), Brooke McDowell (60-meter hurdles), Ashley O'Connell (pole vault), Olivia Owens (high jump), Mara Schroeder (400-meter dash, 4x400-meter relay), Macie Todd (high jump) and Skylar White (pentathlon) earned 2023 USTFCCCA All-Region honors. 

For the men, Nathan Andringa (high jump), Tyler Backes (4x400-meter relay), Sam Blaskowski (60-meter dash, 200-meter dash, long jump), Thomas Blumer (distance medley relay), Chase Doornink (4x400-meter relay), Payton Flood (4x400-meter relay), Ethan Gregg (mile run, 3,000-meter run, 5,000-meter run, distance medley relay), Addison Hill (400-meter dash, 4x400-meter relay), Logan Larson (pole vault), Adam Loenser (3,000-meter run), Caden Pearce (distance medley relay), Triton Schmidt (long jump), Cael Schoemann (800-meter run, distance medley relay), Luke Schroeder (60-meter hurdles, 200-meter dash), Nolan Seaberg (heptathlon), Ryder Smith (60-meter dash) and Isaac Wegner (3,000-meter run, 5,000-meter run) earned All-Region accolades.

UWL travels to the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships Friday-Saturday, March 10-11 in Birmingham, Alabama.
