La Crosse, Wis. - Members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track & field team competed at the Wartburg College (Iowa) Qualifier and Ripon College (Wis.) Final Qualifier Saturday. No team scores were recorded.
At the Wartburg (Iowa) Qualifier,
Spencer Reichart and
JT Zell both won individual titles. Reichart won the 60-meter dash (6.84) while Zell won the pole vault (15-7 1/4).Â
Adam Loenser finished second in the 3,000-meter run (8:16.14) and
Logan Larson was second in the pole vault (15-7 1/4). In the weight throw,
Aiden Williams finished fourth with a throw of 53-11 1/4.Â
At Ripon (Wis.), UWL entered competitors in both the long jump and the triple jump. In the long jump, the Eagles had four of the top-six finishers as
Cameron Sorenson (23-2) finished second while
Triton Schmidt (22-7 3/4) was third,
Terrance Cottrell-Roberson fifth (21-11 3/4) and
Brody Kluge (21-4 1/4) sixth.
In the triple jump, the Eagles had four of the top-five finishers including
William Cady who was second (46-7 1/2), Kluge third (45-10 3/4),
Nick Crary fourth (45-5) and
Chase Roehl fifth (44-9).  Â
UWL returns to action at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championships March 10-11 in Birmingham, Alabama.
