Eau Claire, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse wrestling team competed in the UW-Eau Claire Don Parker Open Saturday in the McPhee Physical Education Center. No team scores were recorded.
The Eagles had three wrestlers place on Saturday, including
Remington Bontreger and
Marcus Orlandoni who both placed second. Bontreger went 3-1 at 125-pounds with one win by fall. He dropped the title match by fall (2:03) to Izzy Balsiger. Orlandoni finished 3-1 at 184-pounds, dropping the championship match by decision (3-2) to Tyson Meyer of St. Cloud State University.Â
Sam Schwabe finished fifth at 184-pounds, going 4-1 with three wins by fall.  He earned fifth with a win by fall (1:39) over Logan Hennen of Saint John's University (Minn.).Â
Three wrestlers on consolation titles for UWL.
Joe Penchi took the 149-pound consolation title with a 4-1 record and two wins by fall. He defeated Lucas Jagodzinski of Augsburg University (Minn.) by decision (7-6) in the consolation title match.
Cole Hansen finished 3-1 at 157-pounds with a win by fall, coming in the consolation title match (1:25) over Larson.
Luke Clark also captured the consolation title at 184-pounds with a 4-1 mark. He had two wins by fall. Clark won the consolation title by decision (7-0) over Carter Melton of UW-Eau Claire.

Juan Garcia (141-pounds) went 3-2 while
Parker Kratochvill (149),
Cooper Larson (157), Pierrson Czaplinski (165),
Wyatt Simon (174),
Nolan Paar (184) and
Spencer Brewton (285) each finished 2-2. Kratochvill recorded both of his wins by fall while Larson, Czaplinski and Paar each had one.Â
Elijah Lucio (165),
Leo Draveling (174) and
Kyle Plank (184) each finished 1-2 with Draveling earning his victory by fall.
Cael Weinzweig (133) went 0-2.
