Saint Peter, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team earned a 189.525 to 184.775 dual victory at Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) Friday night. The Eagles finished with a team score of 47.700 on the vault, 47.350 on the uneven parallel bars, 46.150 on the balance beam and 48.325 on the floor exercise.
UWL swept all four individual events titles on Friday.
Alex Wood captured the vault (9.700),
Kerrie Legault the uneven parallel bars (9.750),
Marisa Zepeda the balance beam (9.625) and
Rachel Chesley the floor exercise (9.725).
Madi Vanderpool had three top-five finishes.
Chesley was also second on the vault (9.650) and uneven parallel bars (9.625).
The Eagles'
Madi Vanderpool recorded three top-five finishes on Friday, placing third on the uneven parallel bars (9.550), fourth on the vault (9.450) and fifth on the balance beam (9.250).
Hunter Matulka and
Jessica Taylor tied for second on the floor exercise (9.675) while
Ashlyn Barker and
Caelen Lansing tied for fifth (9.625). Barker was also fourth on the uneven parallel bars (9.500).
Lily Millington was third (9.525) and
Kyla Dickson tied for fifth (9.375) on the vault. Dickson was also fourth (9.375) on the balance beam.
