HOW DID IT HAPPEN
- UWL was held to just two-of-14 shooting from the floor in the first quarter as they trailed 10-7.Â
- After St. Norbert took a 17-9 lead (8:04), UWL went on an 11-2 run to take a 20-19 lead with 5:11 left in the second quarter. Three-pointers by Lindsey Knuth, Ali Sprangers and Katie Waukau sparked the run for the Eagles. Sprangers hit her second three-pointer of the game at the buzzer to give UWL a 32-29 lead at halftime.Â
- Kailee Meeker opened the third quarter with a three-pointer to give UWL a 35-29 lead before St. Norbert slowly chipped away and pulled within 39-38 with 7:30 on the clock. The Eagles then went on a 16-5 run to take a 55-43 lead with 2:07 left. The Green Knights scored seven of the final nine points to trail 57-50 after three quarters.Â
- The Green Knights cut their deficit to 62-59 (5:51); however, the Eagles got four consecutive points from Madisyn Kilboten and a three-pointer from Lauryn Milne to extend their lead to 69-59 with 3:17 remaining. St. Norbert would pull within 71-68 before two free throws from Grace Knupp made it 73-68 with :10 left. Taylor Thiry would hit a three-pointer for St. Norbert with :04 left but Paige Schumann hit two free-throws with :03 remaining to seal the 75-71 win for the Eagles.Â

- Meeker led three Eagles in double figures with 21 points on eight-of-12 (66.7%) shooting from the floor including two-of-four (50%) from behind the three-point line.Â
- Also in double figures for the Eagles was Milne with 15 points while Knupp added 11. Milne also led UWL with seven rebounds to go along with four steals
- As a team, UWL shot 26-of-57 (45.6%) from the floor including eight-of-23 (34.8%) from the three-point line. UWL also finished 21-of-27 (77.8%) from the free throw line.Â
- Thiry led the Green Knights with 20 points while Emma Morrisey added 14 points and Kalina Winslow chipped in 13.
