HOW DID IT HAPPEN
- The Eagles took an early 14-6 lead on back-to-back three-pointers by Madisyn Kilboten and Katie Waukau with 5:24 left in the first quarter. After Simpson (Iowa) got a layup from Cassie Nash to cut their deficit to 20-18 but a Lauryn Milne layup would give the Eagles a 22-18 lead at the end of the first quarter.
- Simpson (Iowa) took a 24-22 lead on a Haley Rasmussen with a three-pointer with 7:01 on the clock in the second quarter. After Grace Knupp hit one-of-two free throws to give the Eagles a 29-28 lead, Molly Lutmer hit a three-pointer for the Storm to give Simpson (Iowa) a 31-29 lead with 2:35 remaining. Simspon (Iowa) would score the final four points of the first half to lead 35-31 at halftime.
- Including the final four points of the first half for Simpson, the Storm went on a 14-2 lead to take its largest lead of the game (45-33) with 4:47 left in the third quarter. The Eagles scored six straight to cut their deficit to 45-39; however, a Rasmussen three-pointer gave Simpson (Iowa) a 48-39 lead at the end of the thrid quarter.
- Simpson (Iowa) scored the first point two points of the fourth quarter (50-39) but UWL scored seven straight to cut their deficit to 50-46 with 6:29 left. But that would be as close as the Eagles would get as the Storm used a nine to one run to extend their lead to 59-47.

- Milne recorded her first double-double of the season as she finished with 12 points and 15 rebounds.
- Lindsey Knuth finished with 11 points while Kailee Meeker and Knupp each added 10 points.
- As a team, UWL finished 22-for-68 (32.4%) from the floor including five-of-27 (18.5%) from the three point line. The Eagles were seven-of-14 (50%) from the free throw line.
- The Eagles finished with a 43-37 advantage on the boards while their defense forced 23 turnovers.
- Rasmussen led the Storm with 28 points including hitting seven three-pointers.
- Nash added 18 points while Shaniah Temple chipped in 11.
- The Storm finished 24-of-51 (47.1%) including nine-of-22 from the three-point line. They were also 10-of-15 (66.7%) from the free throw line.
