Whitewater, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track & field team completed action at the UW-Whitewater Squig Converse Invitational Saturday. The Eagles earned the team title with 134.0 points while UW-Stevens Point was second with 130.0 and UW-Whitewater third with 122.0. A total of eight teams earned points.
Nolan Seaberg finished second in the heptathlon on Saturday with 4,628 points while
Bryant Yanke was fourth (4,432),
Joseph Jensen fifth (4,278) and
Ben Jones sixth (4,147). The heptathlon concluded with the 60-meter hurdles, pole vault and 1,000-meter run on Saturday. Events on Friday included the 60-meter dash, long jump, shot put and high jump.
In Friday's action, UWL won three individual events as
Aiden Williams won the weight throw (60-9 1/2),
Ryder Smith the 60-meter dash (6.94) and
Carson Reilly the 60-meter hurdles (8.36).
In other top-six finishes in the field events on Friday,
Douglas Grace was fifth (51-0 1/4) in the weight throw while
Bryce Sitko placed second (47-9 1/4) and
Kyle Peters third (46-5 1/2) in the shot put.
Logan Larson was third (14-9),
JT Zell fourth (14-3 1/4) and
Ashton Moody fifth (14-3 1/4) in the pole vault.
Triton Schmidt finished third (22-10 3/4),
Nick Crary fifth (22-5) and
William Cady sixth (22-2 1/4) in the long jump while Crary also placed fourth (45-9) and
Brody Kluge sixth (44-11) in the triple jump.
On the track,
Spencer Reichart finished second (6.96) and
Terrance Cottrell-Roberson fifth (7.03) in th 60-meter dash while
Lukas Johnson finished second (8.65) and
Chad Thompson Jr. third (8.66) in the 60-meter hurdles.
Austin Kummett finished second (22.68),
Carter Kummet third (22.75) and Cottrell-Roberson fifth (23.05) in the 200-meter dash.
UWL returns to action Saturday, February 4 hosting the
Mark Guthrie Legacy Invitational at 2 p.m..
