Heptathlon Results
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team won its 10th straight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship Saturday night at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Stadium Sports Complex.
The Eagles secured their 36th league title in school history with 293.5 team points with UW-Eau Claire second with 137.0 and UW-Oshkosh third with 88.5. UW-Stout was fourth (87.0) followed by UW-Whitewater (57.0), UW-Stevens Point (56.0), UW-River Falls (52.0) and UW-Platteville (48.0).

UWL's 293.5 team points are the most since UW-Oshkosh finished with 313.0 in 1996.
UWL won four individual and two relay titles on Saturday. The Eagles'
Emma Lawrence swept the hurdles, winning the 100 (14.10) and 400 (1:01.40) meter hurdles. It marks the second straight season Lawrence has swept the two events.
Mara Schroeder
UWL's
Mara Schroeder captured the 400-meter dash (56.92) title Saturday while
Samantha Barrett took the triple jump (39-10).
The Eagles swept the 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relays with
Jessica Stelzner,
Haley Durst, Lawrence and
Emily Dawidowich taking the 4x100 (47.14) while
Izi Knoernschild,
Ellie Jillson,
Amber Johnson and
Katie Banie winning the 4x400-meter relay (3:52.37).
Skylar White placed second (4,469 points) and
Allison Anderson sixth (4,127) in the heptathlon Saturday. The heptathlon concluded Saturday with the long jump, javelin throw and 800-meter run after the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200-meter dash were held on Friday.
In other top-eight finishes on the track Saturday, UWL's
Melanie Kunze was second (1:02.95),
Brooke McDowell (1:03.30) third and
Hannah Holm sixth (1:06.07) in the 400-meter hurdles while
Hannah Zenkovich was fifth (14.71) and McDowell sixth (14.90) in the 100-meter hurdles.
Dawidowich placed second (24.50) and Zenkovich eighth (25.78) in the 200-meter dash.
Katie Banie finished second (2:15.93) and
Maddie Hannan sixth (2:18.65) in the 800-meter run. In the 400-meter dash, Johnson was third (58.15),
Lilly Halvorson fourth (58.60) and Knoernschild fifth (59.03) in the 400-meter dash while
Jessica Stelzner placed eighth (12.46) in the 100-meter dash.
Hannan was also second (4:32.73) in the 1,500-meter run Saturday with
Emma Malooly fourth (4:34.93) and
Greta Koehler seventh (4:45.15).
Maddy Vantassel finished fourth (18:33.51) and
Rachel Jeffers eighth (18:52.57) in the 5,000-meter run.
Skylar White
In the field events on Saturday,
Skye Digman recorded a pair of top-three finishes. She was second (150-8) in the discus throw and third (46-10 1/4) in the shot put. The Eagles'
Izzy Carroll was seventh (131-2) in the discus throw.
Olivia Owens and
Macie Todd for second (5-2 1/4) in the high jump with
Alia Vanderhoef tied for fifth (5-0 1/4) and
Rachel Amoth seventh (5-0 1/4). The Eagles'
Miah Keller was fourth (38-11), Stelzner fifth (38-8 1/4),
Maddie Hansen sixth (37-6) and
Kylah Frederixon eighth (37-4) in the triple jump.
