La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team completed action at the UWL Final Qualifier early Friday morning at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. No team scores were recorded. The start of the meet was delayed for 45 minutes and later delayed for nearly five hours due to thunderstorms.
The Eagles won three individual and one relay title Thursday night. On the track,Â
Emma Lawrence took the 100-meter hurdles (13.94) while
Melanie Kunze captured the 400-meter hurdles (1:01.70). UWL won the 4x100-meter relay (46.96) with
Jessica Stelzner,
Carley Elmhorst, Lawrence and
Emily Dawidowich.Â
In the field events,
Samantha Barrett captured the triple jump title (39-11 1/4).Â

Skye Digman was second in the shot put and hammer throw.
Other top-eight finishers on the track included
Brooke McDowell second (1:01.97) in the 400-meter hurdles and
Mara Schroeder second (57.59) in the 400-meter dash. Along with Lawrence winning the 100-meter hurdles, UWL's
Hannah Zenkovich was third (14.30) and
Skylar White fourth (16.88).
Maddie Hannan was third (2:12.53) in the 800-meter run.
In the field events, Zenkovich was second (18-11 1/4), Stelzner third (18-6 1/2) and
Nicole Lord fifth (18-3 3/4) in the long jump Thursday. Â
Olivia Owens placed second (5-3 1/4) in the high jump while
Maddie Hansen was eighth (36-7 1/2) in the triple jump.Â
Skye Digman finished second (47-7 1/4) and
Sarah Hulstedt fifth (42-9 1/2) in the shot put while
Gabby Johnson placed sixth (115-10) in the javelin throw.Â
Digman also finished second (175-10) in the hammer throw while
Leah Surprenant was fourth (172-2) and
Izzy Carroll seventh (160-8).
In the pole vault,
Ashley O'Connell and
Abby Meidl tied for fourth (11-5 3/4) with
Lindsay Ruf eighth (11-5 3/4).Â
UWL returns to action Thursday, May 26 at the NCAA Division III Championships in Geneva, Ohio.Â
