La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track & field team completed action at the UWL Final Qualifier early Friday morning at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. No team scores were recorded. The start of the meet was delayed for 45 minutes and later delayed for nearly five hours due to thunderstorms.
The Eagles'
Sam Blaskowski won the long jump (24-9) Thursday with
Cameron Sorenson third (23-6 1/4) and
Andrew Hermes fourth (23-0).
Nathan Andringa placed second (6-8 3/4) in the high jump while
Aiden Williams finished second (181-1) in the hammer throw.
Jordan Montgomery
Other top finishers in the field events included
Michael Lampman second (164-9) in the discus throw.
William Cady was third (47-0 1/4),
Chase Roehl fourth (46-0 1/2) and
Nick Crary sixth (46-0) in the triple jump.
Bryce Sitko finished seventh (39-9 3/4) in the shot put and
Logan Larson 10th (14-11 1/2) in the pole vault.
On the track, UWL's 4x100-meter relay of
Jordan Montgomery, Blaskowski,
Justin Kotarak and
Kaleb Schuster finished second (40.85). Montgomery was also ninth (11.10) in the 100-meter dash.
UWL's
Carson Reilly was third (14.86) in the 110-meter hurdles with
Dirk Lueck fourth (1:58.20) and
Alex Turner sixth (1:58.60) in the 800-meter run. The Eagles'
Addison Hill placed ninth (48.99) in the 400-meter dash.
UWL returns to action Thursday, May 26 at the NCAA Division III Championships in Geneva, Ohio.
