La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team hosted the UWL Eagle Open Friday at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. No team scores were recorded. 

The Eagles won eight individual and one relay title Friday. On the track, UWL's Mara Schroeder took the 400-meter dash (56.66) with Katie Banie winning the 800-meter run (2:13.75). Hannah Zenkovich captured the 100-meter hurdles (14.55) and Emma Lawrence the 400-meter hurdles (59.98). 

Jessica Stelzner, Haley Durst, Lawrence and Emily Dawidowich won the 4x100-meter relay (46.96). 

In the field events, Olivia Owens won the high jump (5-6), Skye Digman the hammer throw (176-4) and Skylar White the javelin throw (124-9). The Eagles' Ashley O'Connell and Abby Meidl tied for first on the pole vault (11-4 1/2).
 

Other top finishes on the track included Dawidowich placing second (12.34) in the 100-meter dash while Brooke McDowell was third in the 100 (14.83) and 400 (1:03.67) meter hurdles. Stelzner finished third (25.99) in the 200-meter dash with Izi Knoernschild third (2:21.99) and Ellie Jillson fourth (2:22.93) in the 800-meter run. Lilly Halvorson placed fourth (57.28) in the 400-meter dash and Allison Anderson fourth (1:04.75) in the 400-meter hurdles. 

Great Koehler, Bella Seitz, Carley Elmhorst and Jillson were third (4:08.06) in the 4x400-meter relay. 

In Friday's field events, Zenkovich placed second (18-7) and Stelzner third (18-0 1/4) in the long jump with Samantha Barrett second (38-6 1/4) and Miah Keller third (38-2 1/4) in the triple jump. Macie Todd finished fourth (5-2 1/4) in the high jump.

Digman was third (143-9) in the discus throw while Sarah Hulsteadt finished fourth (41-5 1/4) in the shot put and Gabby Johnson fourth (116-11) in the javelin throw.

UWL returns to action Thursday, May 19 hosting the UWL Final Qualifier at 3 p.m.
