La Crosse, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team competed at three meets on Friday, sending competitors to the Drake Relays, Winona State University (Minn.) River City Rumble and UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative.
At the Drake Relays, the Eagles' 4x100 and 4x400-meter relay both advanced to Saturday's finals.

Haley Durst,
Emma Lawrence and
Emily Dawidowich advanced in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 47.61. The final is set for Saturday, April 30 at 3:47 p.m.
Amber Johnson,
Katie Banie,
Hannah Zenkovich and
Mara Schroeder qualified for the final in the 4x400-meter relay with a preliminary time of 3:47.81. The final is scheduled for Saturday, April 30 at 4:36 p.m.
UWL's
Skye Digman finished 21st in the shot put with a throw of 46-1 1/4) at Drake while
Emma Lawrence failed to advance to the final in the 400-meter hurdles after a preliminary time of 1:00.37. Digman competes in the hammer throw Saturday, April 30 at 11:30 a.m.
In the Winona State (Minn.) River City Rumble, UWL took the team title with 210.0 points while Winona State (Minn.) was second with 180.0. St. Cloud State University (Minn.) placed third (135.0) and Bemidji State University (Minn.) fourth (40.5).
The Eagles won three field event titles at Winona State (Minn.), including
Sarah Hulstedt in the shot put (42-4 ¾),
Leah Surprenant in the hammer throw (157-4) and
Izzy Carroll in the discus throw (135-4).
Carroll was also third in the shot put (38-5 ½) and hammer throw (145-11) while Hulstedt placed sixth in the hammer throw (119-10).
Alayna Digman was second in the discus throw (118-9) and fourth in the shot put (35-11 ½) and hammer throw (135-10).
Holly Wardynski finished second in the hammer throw (147-9) for UWL as well as third in the discus throw (101-9).
The Eagles'
Gabby Johnson finished third (125-0) and
Carley Elmhorst fifth (99-2) in the javelin throw with
Allison Anderson fifth in the shot put (28-0 ¼).
In other field events,
Olivia Owens was second (5-3),
Alia Vanderhoef fourth (4-11) and
Macie Todd sixth (4-11) in the high jump.
Nicole Lord finished fifth (17-1 ½) and
Mykenzie Vaassen sixth (17-1 ½) in the long jump while
Maddie Hansen finished sixth (36-0 ¾) in the triple jump.
On the track,
Ellie Jillson finished second (59.50),
Greta Koehler third (59.79) and
Kaydee Johnson fourth (1:00.83) in the 400-meter dash while
Lilly Halvorson was third (25.84), Elmhorst fourth (26.40) and Lord sixth (26.53) in the 200-meter dash.
Bella Seitz was UWL's top finisher in the 100-meter dash, placing third (12.84) with
Izi Knoernschild fifth (13.03) and
Trinity Roberts sixth (14.07).
Melanie Kunze was third (1:03.10) and
Brooke McDowell fifth (1:04.56) in the 400-meter hurdles. UWL's
Adelynn Hyatt was sixth (16.25) in the 100-meter hurdles.
UWL's Kimberly Carviou finished third (2:21.20),
Karlie Meyer fourth (2:30.36) and
Andrea Butz sixth (2:43.59) in the 800-meter run with
Lauren Beauchaine fourth (20:10.18) and
Jessica Immer fifth (20:33.06) in the 5,000-meter run.
The Eagles' 4x400-meter relay of Halvorson, Ayd, Koehler and
Skylar White finished second (4:02.26).
At the UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative, UWL sent six student-athletes to compete in the pole vault. The Eagles'
Ashley O'Connell took the title (11-10) with
Liz Missiaen second (11-10) and
Abby Meidl third (11-10).
Lindsay Ruf was fourth (11-4 1/4),
Kendra Hewitt fifth (11-4 1/4) and
Nina Morrison 10th (10-10 1/4).
UWL returns to action Saturday, April 30 at the Drake Relays. The Eagles host the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships May 6-7.
