Waverly, Iowa - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track & field team opened its 2022 outdoor season at the Wartburg College (Iowa) Select Friday night at Walston-Hoover Stadium. The Eagles placed seventh with 40 team points. Loras College (Iowa) took the team title with 187 points. A total of 10 teams competed.
UWL's
Sam Blaskowski captured the 200-meter dash (21.96) Friday while finishing second in the 100-meter dash (10.86). The Eagles'
Kaleb Schuster was fourth (23.10) in the 200-meter dash and sixth (11.25) in the 100-meter dash.
Justin Kotarak placed seventh (23.32) in the 200-meter dash.
Tyler Kisting was fourth (4:00.66) in the 1,500-meter run.
In the field events,
Aiden Williams finished fourth (154-4) in the hammer throw.
Bryce Sitko was seventh (139-0) and
Douglas Grace ninth (129-10) in the discus throw.
UWL returns to action Saturday, April 9 hosting the Ashton May Invitational at 10:30 a.m. at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex.
