La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team fell 59-57 in double overtime to UW-Oshkosh Saturday afternoon in the Eagles' regular-season home finale and Senior Day. UWL drops to 12-11 overall and 4-8 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while UW-Oshkosh improves to 16-5 overall and 6-4 in the conference. Seniors

It was UWL's first overtime game since a 51-49 loss at UW-Oshkosh on January 25, 2017 and first double overtime contest since a 85-80 victory at UW-Oshkosh on January 29, 2014.Â
Paige Schumann had eight points Saturday.
Coulthart's three-pointer with 5:27 remaining in the first quarter tied the game at 6-6 for UWL, but back-to-back three-point baskets from Kennedy Osterman and Leah Porath gave UW-Oshkosh a 12-6 advantage. The Titans led, 14-10, after the first quarter. Â
UW-Oshkosh, receiving votes on this week's D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll, outscored UWL, 13-3, in the second quarter to take a 27-13 halftime advantage. Higgins' jumper cut it to 22-13 with 2:20 left in the second quarter when Nikki Arneson hit a three-pointer (1:59) and Julia Silloway a layup (1:19) to make it 27-13. UWL went one-of-12 (8.3%) from the field in the second quarter.
Trailing 33-21 with 4:02 remaining in the third quarter, Gamoke scored the final five points of the period to cut it to 33-26. The Eagles outscored the Titans, 13-6, in the third quarter as UW-Oshkosh went two-of-14 (14.3%) from the field.Â
UWL opened the fourth quarter with a 9-2 run to force a 35-35 tie with 7:44 left on a pair of free throws from
Casandra Warmsley. After UW-Oshkosh took a 39-35 lead on layups from Claire Staples and Silloway, Warmsley hit a pair of free throws and Gamoke converted a layup to tie the game at 39-39 with 3:58 remaining. The Eagles took their first lead of the game on Gamoke's layup to make it 41-39 with 2:17 left. Arneson's three-pointer with :51 remaining gave UW-Oshkosh a 42-41 advantage. After a missed jumper by UWL, Silloway hit one-of-two at the line with :23 remaining for a 43-41 lead.
Paige Schumann was fouled with :10 left and made both free throws to tie the game at 43-43. Jenna Jorgensen missed a potential game-winning jumper for UW-Oshkosh at the buzzer to force overtime.Â
The Eagles took a 46-43 lead with 2:32 remaining in overtime on a
Kyah Steiner layup. Porath's jumper with 2:13 left and Arneson's pair of free throws with 1:42 remaining gave UW-Oshkosh a 47-46 lead. UWL missed a layup and Arneson was fouled with :43 left. She made one-of-two free throws to make it 48-46. Warmsley's layup with :30 remaining tied the game, but Porath's jumper with :02 remaining gave UW-Oshkosh a 50-48 advantage. Alana Gilles forced a second overtime with a layup at the buzzer off a Schumann assist.Â

UWL led 57-53 with 2:01 left in the second extra session after Schumann hit two free throws. Porath's layup with 1:41 left made it a two-point game and after a UWL turnover, Porath hit the game-tying jumper with :55 remaining to make it 57-57. The Eagles missed three shots on their possession before the Titans secured the rebound. UW-Oshkosh called timeout with :06 remaining and Porath's layup with :02 left gave the Titans a 59-57 lead. UWL used its last timeout, but Gamoke's jumper missed at the buzzer.Â
UWL shot 26.5% from the field, including 28.0% (seven-of-25) from three-point range, and 87.5% (14-of-16) at the free throw line. Steiner and Gamoke led the Eagles with 12 points while Schumann finished with eight.
Lexie Higgins had a team-high eight rebounds while Coulthart and Steiner each had seven.
UW-Oshkosh shot 33.3% from the field, including 29.2% (seven-of-24) from three-point range, and 50.0% (eight-of-16) at the line. Porath led the Titans with 17 point off the bench. Silloway finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds while Arneson had nine points and game-high 12 rebounds.Â
UWL returns to action Wednesday, February 16 at UW-Stout at 7 p.m. in the regular-season finale.Â
