Whitewater, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track & field team placed fourth at the Midwest Elite Invitational Saturday at UW-Whitewater. The Eagles finished with 94 team points while UW-Oshkosh took the team title with 108.75. A total of nine teams competed.
UWL had three of the top-four finishers in the pole vault Saturday as
Tommy Knoche placed second (15-7 1/4),
Logan Larson third (15-7 1/4) and
JT Zell fourth (14-1 3/4). Other top-six finishers in the field events for the Eagles included
Aiden Williams third (57-6 1/2) and
Michael Lampman fifth (55-5) in the weight throw.
Andrew Hermes placed fourth (22-7 1/4) and
William Cady sixth (22-3 3/4) in the long jump while
Evan Daley was fourth (6-5) in the high jump.
On the track,
Sam Blaskowski finished second (6.80) and
Spencer Reichart fourth (6.87) in the 60-meter dash.
Justin Kotarak was sixth (23.17) in the 200-meter dash.
The Eagles'
Michael Madoch placed second (4:12.59) and
Tyler Kisting third (4:13.88) in the mile run while
Ethan Gregg was third (14:27.61) and Isaa Wegner fourth (14:40.57) in the 5,000-meter run.
