Greensboro, N.C. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team placed second at the 2021 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championship Saturday night at Irwin Belk Track at North Carolina A&T State University. The Eagles finished with 56.0 team points.
Loras College (Iowa) won its second straight outdoor title with 58.0 points. SUNY Geneseo placed third with 49.0 points while Ithaca College (N.Y.) was fourth with 38.33. Johns Hopkins University (Md.) was fifth (34.0), Tufts University (Mass.) sixth (32.0), UW-Oshkosh seventh (31.0), University of Chicago (Ill.) eighth (29.0), Pacific Lutheran University (Was.) ninth (24.0) and UW-Eau Claire for 10th (23.0).

A total of 72 teams scored points.
It marks UWL's fourth (1986, 1993, 1997, 2021) second-place finish at the NCAA III Championships. UWL has captured three (1983, 1984, 2015) NCAA III outdoor titles in 1983. The Eagles also captured the Association of Intercollegiate Athletic for Women (AIAW) in 1982.
UWL has now recorded 30 top-10 finishes, including 18 in the top-five, in 37 appearances at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships.

Nickolas Davis, earned 17 All-America honors in this week's NCAA III Championships, including 14 on Saturday.

Skye Digman each earned a pair of NCAA Division III All-America honors on Saturday. Lawrence was third in the 100 (14.12) and 400 (1:00.66) meter hurdles.
She is the first student-athlete in school history to earn NCAA III All-America honors in the 100 and 400-meter hurdles in the same championships. Her time of 1:00.66 in the 400-meter hurdles on Saturday is the second-fastest time in school history.
Marissa Mahr holds the school record of 59.95 set in 2015.

Digman picked up a pair of All-America recognitions on Saturday as she placed second in the hammer throw (182-4) and third in the shot put (48-9). Her throw of 48-9 in the shot put is second in school history after
Cindy Lensmire's school record throw of 50-1 1/2 in 1984. Digman holds the school record in the hammer throw with a mark of 184-10 at the UWL Final Qualifier on May 19-20.
She earned three NCAA III All-America honors at this year's national championships after finishing seventh in teh discus throw on Thursday. Digman has four career accolades with a seventh-place finish in the shot put in 2019.
Two other student-athletes earned individual All-America honors on Saturday as
Pamela Gramer finished sixth in the hammer throw (167-4) and
Emily Dawidowich was seventh in the 200-meter dash (24.56). It was Gramer's first career award.
Both of the Eagles' relays earned NCAA III All-America honors on Saturday. The 4x100-meter relay of

Savannah Rygiewicz and Dawidowich placed third (46.64) while the 4x400-meter relay of
Amber Johnson,
Katie Banie, Rygiewicz and Lawrence finished fourth (3:49.53).

Jessica Stelzner finished 15th (36-5 3/4) and
Maddie Hansen 18th (35-5 3/4) in the triple jump.
