In Friday's action, UWL's Hannah Zenkovich earned NCAA III All-America honors with a third-place finish in the heptathlon with a school record 5,151 points. She broke her own school record of 5,062 points set earlier this season at the Ashton May-Phil Esten Meet on April 16-17.  Zenkovich's third-place finish is the second-best in UWL history after Shelly Rud finished second in 1993.

The Eagles' Amanda Wiebke placed ninth in Friday's heptathlon with 4,616 points.  The heptathlon concluded on Friday with the long jump, javelin throw and 800-meter run after competing in the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200-meter dash on Thursday.

Emma Malooly earned All-America accolades on Friday as she placed third overall (10:42.48) in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.  It is also her first career NCAA Division III All-America award.  Malooly's time of 10:42.48 is the third-fastest in school history.  Stephanie Perleberg holds the school record of 10:21.87 set in 2010 while Julia Rudd has the second-fastest at 10:22.45 in 2006.

Malooly, Perleberg and Rudd are the only three runners in UWL history to earn NCAA III All-America honors in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.  Perleberg captured the national title in 2009 and finished third in 2010 while Rudd was a four-time All-America in the event, winning the championship in 2004 and placing third in 2002, 2005 and 2006.

In preliminary track action Friday, UWL's Emma Lawrence advanced to Saturday's 100-meter hurdles final with time of 14.20.  She will also run in Saturday's 400-meter hurdles final. Zenkovich (14.34) and Clair Shepardson (14.87) failed to qualify for Saturday's final in the 100-meter hurdles.

The Eagles' Savannah Rygiewicz in the 100-meter dash (12.03), Lucy Fashingbauer in the 400-meter dash (58.10) and Katie Banie in the 800-meter run (2:16.26) failed to advance to Saturday's finals.

UWL has won three (1983, 1984, 2015) NCAA Division III Championships.  The Eagles also captured the Association of Intercollegiate Athletic for Women (AIAW) in 1982.  UWL has recorded 28 top-10 finishes, including 16 in the top-five, in 36 appearances at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships.

The NCAA III Championships conclude on Saturday, May 29 with action starting at 9:30 a.m. (Central).
