Platteville, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field competed at the UW-Platteville Invitational Saturday afternoon at the UW-Platteville Track and Field Complex. No team scores were recorded.
UWL recorded 11 individual first-place finishes Saturday, including five in the field events.
Abby Meidl won the pole vault (12-2) while
Skye Digman captured the shot put (45-6 1/4) and the discus throw (131-7).
Sydney Wambach placed first in the long jump (18-5 1/4 ) while
Kylah Frederixon captured the triple jump (36-5 1/2).
On the track, the Eagles'
Emma Lawrence won the 100-meter hurdles (14.72) with
Emily Dawidowich capturing the 200-meter dash (25.29).
Katie Banie captured the 400-meter dash (59.10) and
Maddie Hannan the 1,500-meter run (4:47.86).
Maddy Vantassel won the 3,000-meter steeplechase (11:33.29) for UWL.

Kelly Aldrich,
Savannah Rygiewicz and Dawidowich took the 4x100-meter relay (47.62).
Other top finishers on the track included
Nicole Lord placing second (12.71) and
Haley Durst fourth (12.85) in the 100-meter dash while Rygiewicz was second (25.37) and Aldrich third (25.63) in the 200-meter dash.
Izi Knoernschild finished third (1:02.40) in the 400-meter dash.
UWL's
Brooke McDowell was second (1:06.51) in the 400-meter hurdles with
Melanie Kunze fourth (1:07.64).
Clair Shepardson finished second in the 100-meter hurdles (15.18). In the 1,500-meter run,
Claire Koenecke placed third (4:57.39) and
Rachel Jeffers was fourth (4:57.85).
Julia Anderson was third (11:50.53) and
Bethany Miller fourth (11:56.58) in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
In Saturday's field events,
Ashley O'Connell was third (11-10) in the pole vault while
Gabby Johnson finished fourth (100-0) in the javelin throw. In the long jump.
Jessica Stelzner was second (18-2 1/2) and
Madison Page was fourth (18-1). Wambach took second (36-2 3/4) in the triple jump.
The Eagles'
Pamela Gramer placed second (164-11) in the hammer throw with Digman third (162-2) and
Brianna Schyvinck fourth (161-9).
