Results
Rochester, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's and men's swimming & diving teams completed second day action at the Rochester Invitational Saturday night at the Rochester-Olmstead County Recreation Center Natatorium.
The women's squad is in ninth-place with 108.5 team points while the men's team is in fifth with 278. A total of 11 teams are competing.
Jordy Hahlen
On the women's side, UWL's 400 medley relay of
Jordy Hahlen,
Lauren Steien,
Maddy Albert-Nelson and
Sydney Guenther placed 11th overall (4:01.49). The 200 freestyle relay of
Alexis Hoeben,
Molly Banks,
Lindsey Evenson and
Lexi Burgos finished 17th (1:40.80).
Hahlen placed fourth (57.78) in the 100 backstroke with
Autumn Seebach tied for fifth (58.66).
Abi Schauske was 17th (4:46.22) in the 400 I.M. while Guenther was 20th (1:59.77) in the 200 freestyle and
Raquel Salinas finished 20th (1:10.58) in the 100 breaststroke.
In three-meter diving,
Laci Gottschalk was 11th (307.35 points) in the preliminaries with
Erika Hysalliu 18th (163.60) and
Lauren Feder 20th (133.65).
In men's action Saturday, UWL's
Blake Nelson,
Nicholas Litterer,
Jackson Plautz and
Will Quackenbush finished third (1:24.29) in the 200 freestyle relay while Litterer, Quackenbush,
Ming Ong and
Connor Cleveland placed eighth (3:29.11) in the 400 medley relay.
Quackenbush recorded a pair of top-11 individual places on Saturday, finishing fifth (1:42.40) in the 200 freestyle and 11th (52.39) in the 100 backstroke. Cleveland was 13th (1:45.74) in the 200 freestyle while
Blake Harre finished 19th (1:01.64) and
Jonathan Pella 20th (1:01.77) in the 100 breaststroke.
Will Quackenbush
UWL had four of the top-13 finishers in the 100 backstroke. Litterer was seventh (52.39),
Zach Vinson ninth (52.73), Ong 12th (53.35) and
Brevin Kruse 13th (53.58).
Jacob Brehmer was 15th (4:26.25) and Sebiyam Werdin-Kennicot 17th (4:24.48) in the 400 I.M.
Evan Zimdars was seventh in the one-meter diving competition (377.70 points).
Vance Winter finished 12th (293.45) and
Tony McNiff 17th (141.60) in the one-meter diving preliminaries.
Action concludes Sunday, December 5 with preliminaries at 9:30 a.m.
