Northfield, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's and men's swimming & diving teams competed at the Cows, Colleges and Contentment Classic Saturday. No team scores were recorded.
On the women's side,
Autumn Seebach won a pair of individual titles, taking the 100 (59.60) and 200 (2:11.81) backstroke. She placed third in the 500 freestyle (5:38.40).
Amanda Richards placed third in the 100 backstroke (1:02.54) while
Jordy Hahlen was second (2:13.32) and
Sophia Benson fourth (2:16.40) in the 200 backstroke. Richards was also sixth (25.94) in the 50 freestyle while
Aubrey Lonergan finished second (25.17),
Alexis Hoeben third (25.58) and
Lindsey Evenson fifth (25.87).
Lonergan was also fifth (2:05.61) in the 200 freestyle while
Emily Rundahl was sixth (2:06.43). Hoeben was third (56.91) in the 100 freestyle with
Molly Banks sixth (57.36).
Maddy Albert-Nelson placed second (1:00.82),
Lauren Steien fourth (1:01.88) and
Sarina Le fifth (1:02.63) in the 100 butterfly while
Abi Schauske finished second (2:23.60) and
Kathleen Casella fourth (2:36.86) in the 200 butterfly. Schauske was fourth (5:04.93) and
Claire Vandenhouten fifth (5:07.7) in the 400 I.M.
UWL's
Laci Gottschalk finished sixth (343.20 points) in the one-meter diving.
The Eagles' 200 freestyle relay of
Jade Kopff, Hoeben, Richards and Lonergan were second (1:42.41) while Albert-Nelson, Steien,
Emma Siegersma and Evenson finished fifth (1:56.23) in the 200 medley relay.
On the men's side,
Will Quackenbush recorded three top-two finishes, including winning the 200 breaststroke (2:18.60). He was second in the 50 (22.49) and 200 (1:47.22) freestyle.
Ming Ong finished second in the 100 backstroke (53.93) and 100 butterfly (53.42). The Eagles'
Nicholas Litterer finished second in the 100 freestyle (48.22) and fourth in the 100 backstroke (55.67).
Connor Cleveland was fourth in the 50 freestyle (22.66) and fifth in the 100 freestyle (50.19) while
Jacob Brehmer finished fourth in the 400 I.M. (4:43.11) and sixth in the 200 breaststroke (2:27.99).
Jonathan Pella finished second (2:21.66) in the 200 breaststroke while
Andrew Perrin was second (5:08.48) and
Andrew Groth third (5:14.64) in the 500 freestyle. Other top-six finishes included
Blake Nelson third in the 50 freestyle (22.57), Benjamin Hendel fourth in the 100 butterfly (55.70),
Jackson Mishuk fourth in the 200 butterfly (2:14.35) and
Brevin Kruse fourth in the 200 backstroke (2:03.19).
In diving,
Evan Zimdars was second in the one-meter (328.20 points) and fifth in the three-meter (209.45).
Tony McNiff was fifth (315.60) in the one-meter and sixth (190.35) in three-meter while
Vance Winter was fourth (315.70) in the one-meter.
Plautz,
Mickey Keating, Quackenbush and
AJ Von Berge finished third in the 200 freestyle relay (1:29.15) with
Zach Vinson, Litterer, Ong and Nelson placing fourth (1:40.92) in the 200 medley relay.
