Box Score Auburndale, Fla. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse baseball team fell 11-6 to 20th-ranked Webster University (Mo.) Saturday afternoon at Lake Myrtle Main Field. The Eagles drop to 1-4-1 on the season while the Gorloks improve to 7-5. Webster (Mo.) is ranked 20th on this week's D3baseball.com Top-25 Poll.
Ninteen position players appeared in the game for UWL along with 10 pitchers. The Eagles took a 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning.

Cal McClellan's fielder's choice knocked in
Shane Coker to make it 2-0 and
Parker Plume delivered a two-out RBI single to score Schmitt and McClellan for a 4-0 lead.
Webster (Mo.) got one run back in the bottom of the first after Aron Hopp scored on Kyler Kent's two-out single to make it 4-1. Landon Vahle stole home in the bottom of the third to cut it 4-2, but UWL took a 5-2 lead in the top of the fifth with
Seth Coker coming in on
Jonathan Wizner's run-scoring single.
The Gorloks cut the lead to 5-4 in the fifth on RBI singles from Hopp and Ben Swords. Webster (Mo.) took its first lead with three runs in the sixth on Hopp's run-scoring groundout and Swords' two-run double for a 7-5 advantage.
UWL came back to cut it to 7-6 in the top of the seventh as Wizner scored on
Colton Schraepfer's single. Webster (Mo.) added to its lead with a pair of runs in the seventh and eighth innings. Matt Staker had a sacrifice bunt and Joe Swanson scored on a wild pitch in the seventh while Kent had a two-run double in the eighth.
UWL finished with 12 hits as Carney and Wizner each went 2-for-3 with a run scored. Plume had two RBI.
Ben Byom (0-1) took the loss for the Eagles, pitching 1.0 inning. He allowed three hits, thee runs and one walk with one strikeout.
Webster (Mo.) totaled 14 hits with Swords and Vahle each finishing with three. Swords had three RBI and one run scored while Vahle finished with three runs. Kent had two hits and three RBI while Hopp had two RBI and Adam Lovell three runs.
