Stevens Point, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse wrestling team completed an undefeated Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) schedule with a 37-6 victory at UW-Stevens Point Friday night in Berg Gym. The Eagles, ranked 11th in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Top-25 Poll, improve to 10-4 overall and 5-0 in the WIAC. The Pointers drop to 8-10 overall and 0-5 in the WIAC.
It marks UWL's second straight undefeated conference season and 12th in league action since 2000-01. The Eagles are 66-7 (.904) in WIAC duals since the 2006-07 season. Â

UWL now the leads the all-time series, 43-26, with UW-Stevens Point. The Eagles have won the last 18 meetings with the Pointers.
The Eagles took a 6-0 lead at 125-pounds as
Ian McGee won by forfeit. UWL recorded back-to-back wins by technical fall to take a 16-0 lead.
Josh Stenger won by technical fall over Sam Gressel (15-0, 3:10) at 133-pounds while
Hayden Schlough defeated Kyle Smith (18-3, 5:00) at 141.Â
Sam Wenzel gave UWL a 19-0 advantage after a win by decision (7-1) over UW-Stevens Point's Isaiah Baker at 149.
Nolan Hertel followed with a win by decision (5-2) versus Brandon Peckham at 157-pounds to make it 22-0.Â
Grant Zamin, ranked number in the NWCA at 157-pounds, moved up to 165 on Friday night and recorded a win by major decision (11-2) over Jordan Weinzetl as the Eagles took a 26-0 lead.Â
UWL extended its lead to 37-0 after three consecutive victories.
Mitch Hertel won by decision (7-2) over Austin Stebane at 174-pounds;
Sawyer Massie won by major decision (12-3) over Dan Squires at 184 and
Isaac Lahr won by major decision (12-1) against Jerry Lipke at 197.Â
UW-Stevens Point avoided the shutout as Noah Wieczorek won by fall (4:08) over UWL'sÂ
Isaac Gust at 285-pounds.
