La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse wrestling team earned a 33-8 dual victory over Luther College (Iowa) Friday night in Mitchell Hall Fieldhouse in a match-up of top-20 teams. The Eagles, ranked 11th in NCAA Division III, improves to 9-4 on the season with the win. The Norse, ranked 19th in the country, drops to 9-6 on the year.
Luther (Iowa) had earned an 19-18 victory over UWL at the NWCA Multi-Divisional National Duals January 10. The teams finished in a 18-18 tie, but the Norse picked up one team point by earning the tiebreaker with one win by fall.

UWL quickly took a 12-0 lead with a pair of wins by fall Friday night.
Tristan Jenny opened with a win by fall (2:19) over Sam Camacho at 125-pounds to make it 6-0.
Josh Stenger followed with a win by fall (1:23) over Tyler DiFiore at 133-pounds for a 12-0 lead.

Hayden Schlough won by decision (4-2) over Marcus Mandler at 141-pounds and
Sam Wenzel won by decision (11-5) over Teagan Miller at 149-pounds to give UWL a 18-0 lead.
Nolan Hertel (157),
Grant Zamin (165) and
Mitch Hertel (174) won the next three matches by major decision to make it 30-0.
Nolan Hertel defeated Michael Egan at 157-pounds (10-2); Zamin defeated Tanner Weaver at 165 (14-3) and
Mitch Hertel earned the major decision over Isaiah Mitchell at 174 (10-0). Zamin is ranked first in NCAA Division III at 157-pounds.
Luther (Iowa) got on the board at 184-pounds as Ira Kuehn won by decision (8-3) over UWL's
Sawyer Massie to cut it to 30-3. UWL's
Isaac Lahr won by decision (8-1) over Donovan Corn at 197-pounds to make it 33-3 and Luther's (Iowa) Keenan Feldpausch won by technical fall (16-0, 4:13) over UWL's
Nolan Tewell at 285-pounds to finish the dual.
UWL returns to action Saturday, February 1 at the Loras College (Iowa) Open at 9 a.m.
