Minneapolis, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team went 2-1 at the two-day Augsburg University (Minn.) Invitational Friday-Saturday. The Eagles opened play with a 3-0 (19-25, 20-25, 20-26) loss to the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) Friday before earning a 3-2 (25-15, 21-25, 16-25, 25-20, 15-12) win over the University of Dubuque (Iowa).  UWL picked up a 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-14) victory over George Fox University (Ore.) Saturday. The Eagles are now 3-3 on the season. 

In the loss to St. Thomas (Minn.), Emma Lawrence had six kills and six digs. Courtney Conway and Sophie Quelle lead the Eagles with nine and eight digs respectively.  Abbey Fox also contributed six digs while leading UWL with 18 assists. 

The Eagles had 8.5 team blocks. UWL hit .031 for the match (24-21-97). 

In the win over Dubuque (Iowa), Lawrence recorded a double-double with 21 kills and 14 digs. Caitlin Griffin added nine kills. Fox also finished with a double-double, totaling 38 assists and 18 digs. Courtney Conway had a team-high of 20 digs. 

The Eagles recorded 8.0 blocks while hitting .147 (55-27-191).

Brianna Korducki recorded nine kills and six digs in Saturday's win over George Fox (Ore.).  Anna Rossner finished with kills. Fox (14) and Megan Adams (9) combined 23 assists. Quelle had a team-leading 16 digs. 

UWL hit .185 (31-21-108) while finishing with 4.0 team blocks.

Lawrence was one of eight players selected to the all-tournament team.

UWL returns to action Tuesday, September 10 at Wartburg College (Iowa) at 7 p.m.
