Greensboro, N.C. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's and women's swimming & diving teams completed first day action at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championships Wednesday night in the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

Jacob Burchfield earned individual NCAA III All-America honors Wednesday night after placing 16th (20.89) in the 50-yard freestyle. It is Burchfield's third career NCAA III All-America honor.

Jack Rohlinger and Burchfield placed 19th (1:32.36) in the 200-yard medley relay preliminaries on Wednesday.
UWL earned 1.0 team point with Burchfield's 16th-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle.
Burchfield, Carlson and Hover earned their first career NCAA Division III All-America honors in 2018 as members of the Eagles' 14th-place
200-yard medley relay and 16th-place
200-yard freestyle relay. Rohlinger
is looking for his first career NCAA III All-America honor.
In women's action on Wednesday, UWL's
Maria Vaudreuil finished 46th (2:12.94) in the 200-yard individual medley preliminaries. She will compete in the 100-yard breaststroke on Friday, March 22 and in the 200-yard breaststroke on Saturday, March 23. Vaudreuil, seeking her first career NCAA III All-America honor, is seeded 16th in the 100-yard breaststroke.
The top-eight finishers in each event earn NCAA III All-America honors while ninth through 16th-place earn NCAA III Honorable Mention accolades.
UWL returns to action Thursday, March 21 with preliminaries at 9 a.m. (Central). Hover will compete in the 100-yard butterfly while Burchfield, Rohlinger, Carlson and Hover will swim in the 200-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard medley relay.
