#9 UW-La Crosse 29, UW-Oshkosh 13
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse wrestling team earned a 29-13 dual win over UW-Oshkosh Thursday night in Mitchell Hall. The Eagles, ranked ninth in this week's National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) NCAA Division III Poll, improve to 9-3 overall and 3-0 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC). UW-Oshkosh drops to 5-5 overall and 2-2 in the conference.

UWL earned its 29th straight win over UW-Oshkosh and leads the all-time series, 39-11. The Titans have not defeated the Eagles since the 1989-90 season. Â
UWL is now 59-7 in conference duals since 2006-07. Â
The Eagles took a 6-0 lead at 125-pounds as
Tristan Jenny won by fall (:43) over the Titans' AJ Schoenfuss. UWL took the next two matches by decision for a 12-0 lead.
Alex Kern won by decision (7-4) over Zach McDowell at 133-pounds while
Hayden Schlough won by decision (8-5) over Wesam Alabed at 141.Â
Danny Madonia made it 18-0 for UWL as he won by fall (4:01) over Corey Knudsen at 149-pounds.
Logan Schlough won by major decision (8-0) over Devin Keast at 157-pounds to make it 22-0.Â
UW-Oshkosh got on the scoreboard at 165-pounds in a dual featuring a pair of ranked wrestlers. The Titans' Mark Choinski, ranked second at 165-pounds, won by major decision (9-1) over the Eagles'
Grant Zamin, ranked eighth at 157-pounds.Â

Reed Williams, competing in his first match for the Eagles, won by major decision (13-3) at 174-pounds over UW-Oshkosh's Bryce Herlache. The Titans won the next two matches to cut the deficit to 26-13 with Colten Cashmore winning by fall (3:15) over
Adam Gusky at 184-pounds and Beau Yineman winning by decision (4-1) over
Cullen Bauer-Trottier at 197-pounds. Yineman is ranked sixth in NCAA III at 197-pounds.Â
The Eagles'
Konrad Ernst came from behind to win by decision (8-3) at 285-pounds over the Titans' Jordan Lemcke. Ernst trailed, 3-2, when he recorded a take down and four-point near fall in the final minute of the match.Â
UWL returns to action Saturday, January 12 at the Cornell College (Iowa) Matman Invitational at 9 a.m.
