Chicago, Ill. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's cross country placed 19th at the Loyola University Chicago (Ill.) Lakefront Invitational Saturday at the Lincoln Park-Montrose Avenue Beach. The Eagles finished with 520.0 team points.
Princeton University (N.J.) captured the team title with 65.0 points while Grand Valley State University (Mich.) was second with 79 and The Ohio State University third with 85.0. The University of Illinois was fourth with 110.0 points and the University of Missouri fifth with 140.0. Washington University (Mo.) was sixth with 217.0 points, the University of Arizona seventh, Loyola (Ill.) eighth with 232.0, Texas A&M University ninth with 253.0 and the University of Nebraska 10th with 304.0. A total of 33 teams competed.
Hannah Beilke led UWL with a 68th-place finish overall, completing the 5,000-meter course in 18:15.64. The Eagles'

"We had a tough day today," said UWL head coach
Derek Stanley. "The competition was stiff and we didn't execute off the line like we needed to accomplish what we wanted in the race. We are a better team than our results from this race, but it a good place in the schedule to begin an accent to where we should be."
