La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team earned a 64-16 victory over Marian University (Wis.) Wednesday night at Mitchell Hall, extending its winning streak to six straight.  The Eagles improve to 7-2 on the season while the Sabres drop to 2-7. UWL now leads the all-times series, 7-0. 
 
The six-game winning streak is the longest since the 2010-11 season. 

The Eagles led from the first basket scored on Wednesday, and outscored Marian (Wis.), 19-4 in the first quarter.  The Sabres were held scoreless for a stretch of 14:30 between the first and second quarter, and UWL led 36-6 at the half. 
 
UWL's dominance continued in the third quarter, starting the period on a 20-0 run before Marian (Wis.) scored its only basket of the frame with :47 left.  The Eagles led 56-8 going to the fourth quarter. 

The Sabres scored as many points in the fourth as it did in the first three quarters, but the game was well in hand, with the final at 64-16.
 
UWL shot 35.2% from the field, including 19.4% (six-of-31) from three-point range, and 72.7% (eight-of-11) at the free throw line.  Elise DeNoyer led the Eagles with 13 points and seven rebounds, also contributing an assist and a pair of steals.  Ava Kramer added 10 points and four steals.  Dani Craig had nine points and a team-high three assists and two blocked shots.
 
As a team, UWL out-rebounded Marian (Wis.), 52-29, including 27-9 on the offensive end.  The Eagles recorded 17 steals and forced 33 turnovers, both season-bests. 

Marian (Wis.) shot 16.7% from the field, including 10.0% (one-of-10) from three-point range, and 50.0% (one-of-two) at the line.
