UW-La Crosse 185.600, UW-Eau Claire 183.550
Eau Claire, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team earned a 185.600-183.550 victory over UW-Eau Claire Friday night at the McPhee Physical Education Center.
The Eagles scored 47.450 on vault; 43.850 on uneven parallel bars; 47.200 on balance beam and 47.100 on floor exercise.
UWL captured individual titles in all four events.
Amy Enright captured the bars title (9.500) while
Dani Barmore led the way on vault (9.625). The beam title went to
Kari Willett (9.650) and
Elsa Spitzmueller won the floor (9.575).
"We had a rough start on bars, but finished strong on the next three events," said Head Coach
Kasey Crawford. "Our vaulters stepped up and had a great rotation.
Kari Willett had a great night, adding in an upgrade on vault. The team as a whole showed a lot of fight, which I as proud of."
The Eagles return to action Saturday, January 28 at the Lindenwood University (Mo.) Triangular at 4 p.m.
