Box Score Eau Claire, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team fell 3-0 (26-24, 25-17, 25-23) at UW-Eau Claire Wednesday night in McPhee Gymnasium. The Eagles, ranked 19th on this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 Poll, drop to 9-2 overall and 0-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Blugolds, receiving votes on this week's national poll, improve to 11-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference.
Stephanie Henk led UWL with 14 kills Wednesday while hitting .355 (14 kills, three errors, 31 attempts).
Jill Entinger finished with 10 kills, hitting .421 (10-2-19).
Madison Entinger recorded 31 assists as the Eagles hit .253 (39-14-99) overall.
Halle Barnabo had a team-leading 11 digs while
Paige Schmidt finished with 10.
UWL had 8.0 total blocks with
Jessica Jablonski recording six block assists.
Heather Sawchuk led UW-Eau Claire with 17 kills while hitting .552 (17-1-29). Madison Surprise finished with 23 assists and Emma Richter 15 as the Blugolds hit .356 (46-10-101). The team hit .483 (16-2-29) in the third set.
Katrina Raskie led UW-Eau Claire with a match-high 13 digs while the team recorded 8.0 total blocks. Mackenzee Pierog had five block assists.
UWL returns to action Saturday, September 24 at the UW-Stevens Point Triangular, facing North Park University (Ill.) at 10 a.m. and Illinois Wesleyan University at 4 p.m.
