Box Score La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team fell 67-49 to 15th-ranked UW-River Falls Wednesday night in Mitchell Hall.  The Eagles drop to 7-15 overall and 1-10 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Falcons improve to 18-4 overall and 9-2 in the conference.  UW-River Falls earned its ninth win in the last 11 meetings with UWL. 

The game was tied 11-11 with 4:23 left in the first quarter after UWL's Rachel Atchison connected on a pair of free throws. UW-River Falls finished the quarter on a 10-1 run to lead 21-12.  Taylor Karge scored seven points in the run for the Falcons. 

UW-River Falls, ranked 15th on this week's D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll, led 23-13 in the second quarter when UWL went on a 11-4 run to cut the lead to 27-24 with 4:31 left on a Sierra Watrud three-pointer.  The Falcons scored the final six points of the quarter to lead 33-24 at halftime. 

UW-River Falls opened the second half on a 15-2 run to lead 48-26 with 3:59 remaining.  The Falcons led 56-32 at the end of the third quarter and the Eagles could get no closer than 17 points in the fourth quarter.

UWL shot 30.5% from the field Wednesday, including 35.3% (six-of-17) from three-point range, and 63.6% (seven-of-11) at the free throw line.  Elise DeNoyer and Atchison led the Eagles with 11 points while MaKenzie Miller finished with 10.  DeNoyer grabbed a team-high nine rebounds while Miller finished with seven. 

UW-River Falls shot 44.6% from the field, including 25.0% (three-of-12) from three-point range, and 60.9% (14-of-23) at the line.  Karge led the Falcons with 15 points and 11 rebounds while Kate Theisen finished with 14 points and nine rebounds.
