Volleyball Team Falls at UW-Stevens Point

Box Score Stevens Point, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-22) at UW-Stevens Point Saturday afternoon in Berg Gym. The Eagles drop to 7-9 overall and 3-2 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference while the Pointers improve to 15-4 overall and 4-1 in the conference.  UW-Stevens Point is receiving votes in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 Poll.

Kayla Ashland and Haley Molzner led UW-L with eight kills each Saturday while Jill Entinger finished with seven and Lauren Probst six.  Cassie Raduka recorded 28 assists as the Eagles hit .220 for the match.

Courtney Geisler and Probst each had seven digs to lead UW-L. Entinger had a team-high two blocks.

Emma Brunkhorst led UW-Stevens Point with 13 kills while Sarah Wildish finished with 10. Brunkhorst hit .688 (13-2-16) and Wildish .348 (10-2-23).  Alexis Hartman recorded 29 assists as the Pointers hit .397.

Hannah Picel finished with nine digs. Allison Davis had a match-high three blocks.

UW-L returns to action Friday, October 11 at the UW-Eau Claire Tournament.  The Eagles face UW-Stout at 3 p.m. and the University of Minnesota-Morris at 5 p.m.
