Box Score 2 Platteville, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team split its two matches at the UW-Platteville Quadrangular Friday night in Williams Fieldhouse. The Eagles earned a 3-1 (24-27, 25-18, 25-18, 25-17) victory over Simpson College (Iowa) before falling 3-1 (26-24, 26-24, 22-25, 25-20) to the University of Dubuque (Iowa). UW-L is now 11-11 on the season.
Versus Simpson (14-5),
Kayla Ashland led UW-L with 16 kills while
Crystal Ziegler recorded 15 and
Lauren Probst 11. Ashland hit .556 (16 kills, one error, 27 attempts) while Ziegler finished at .343 (15-3-35).
Cassie Raduka recorded 45 assists as the Eagles hit a season-high .323.
Zeigler led UW-L's defense with 20 digs while
Courtney Geisler finished with 19 and Raduka 10.
Ashland recorded 7.0 blocks, including 4.0 solo.
Against Dubuque (8-15),
Jill Entinger had 15 kills while Ashland and Probst 13. Entinger hit .407 (15-4-27). Raduka had 45 assists as UW-L hit .194.
Geisler led four players in double figures in digs with 23. Probst finished with 13,
Ashley Entinger 12 and Raduka 10.
UW-L returns to action Wednesday, October 23 hosting UW-Oshkosh at 7 p.m.
