Angel Allen starts her fifth season as an assistant coach at UW-La Crosse in 2025-26, including her third full-time.  She spent her frist two seasons as an assistant coach for the Eagles while also working in the UWL Admissions Office.

The 2024-25 season saw UWL take a big jump ias they finished 17-12 overall and advanced to the Second Round of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III National Championships. UWL finished 7-7 in the very competitive Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC), which had four teams advance to the NCAA III National Championships. 

UWL earned it first bid (at-large) to the national tournament since the 2019-20 season. In the first round, UWL defeated Colorado College 79-52 for its first NCAA tournament win since 1988. UWL would then face conference foe UW-Whitewater in the second round where they fell 50-49. The 2024-25 season also included wins over nationally ranked UW-Stout (#15) and UW-Oshkosh (#5). The win over UW-Oshkosh was just the fourth win over a top five ranked opponent in school history. 

UWL finished 13-14 overall and 5-9 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) in 2023-24. The Eagles qualified for the league tournament for the eighth straight season, advancing to the semifinals after a first round victory over UW-Platteville. 

The Eagles went 19-7 overall and 8-6 in the WIAC in 2022-23, recording its most overall wins since finishing 19-8 in 2019-20. UWL finished 14-12 overall and 5-8 in the WIAC in 2021-22, advancing to the second round of the league championship.

Allen came to UWL after serving as head of basketball operations and Co-Founder of A-Level Athletics in Knoxville, Tennessee and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil since January 2021.  Allen was also head coach of the 14U Girls Basketball team for B Maze Elite in Knoxville since October 2020. 

Allen was head girls' varsity basketball coach at Concord Christian School in Knoxville from August 2020-April 2021 and served as an assistant women's basketball coach at Roane State Community College in Harriman, Tennessee from June 2019-March 2020.  Other experience includes assistant girls' basketball coach at Overall Creek Elementary School and Terry Looper Summer Basketball Camp, both in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. 

Earning her bachelor's degree in accounting from Western Carolina University (Cullowhee, North Carolina) in 2019, Allen played in 119 games with 65 starts for the Catamounts.
