Jake Larson begins his second season as an assistant swimming coach at UW-La Crosse in 2015-16. Prior to coming to UWL, Larson was an assistant swimming coach at Holdingford (Minn.) High School in 2013-14.
He was a four-year letter winner in swimming at St. Cloud (Minn.) State University from 2009-13. Larson was a member of three Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) championship teams.
A two-year team captain, Larson was a two-time school record holder. He competed in the 100, 200 and 500 freestyle for the Huskies. Larson was voted St. Cloud State's Hardest Worker.
He graduated from St. Cloud State with a degree in psychology and minor in biology. Larson graduated from Brainerd (Minn.) Senior High School.
