Chad Crawford begins his second season as an assistant football coach in 2014.  He earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Wartburg College (Iowa) in May 2013.  Crawford is pursuing his master's degree in sports management from American Public University.

He played defensive line for four years at Wartburg, earning 2012 All-Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Second Team honors.  Crawford played in all 10 games in 2012, leading the Knights in sacks (6.5).  He also tied for third on the team in tackles for loss (9.5).  

Crawford was a member of Wartburg's Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) championship team in 2010.
