Andrew Robinson

Andrew Robinson begins his first season as an assistant coach at UW-La Crosse in 2016, coaching the defensive line.  He comes to UWL after earning his degree in business from UW-Platteville in 2016.

A native of Arcadia, Wisconsin, Robinson was named the 2015 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Defensive Player of the Year at UW-Platteville after recording 43 tackles (27 unassisted), 7.5 quarterback sacks and 22.0 tackles for loss.  He also finished with three forced fumbles, three blocked punts and kicks and one fumble recovery.  

Robinson was a three-time (2013-15) All-WIAC First Team selection. 

Named one of 63 finalists for the 2015 Cliff Harris Award, Robinson earned 2015 D3football.com All-America Third Team honors.  The Cliff Harris Award is given to the top defensive player representing National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II and III and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) colleges and universities. 

He was a 2015 D3football.com All-West Region First Team selection while earning all-region second team honors in 2013 and 2014.  

Robinson holds eight school records at UW-Platteville, registering 25.0 career quarterback sacks, 55.0 tackles for loss and 10 forced fumbles.  He signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League in 2016. 

He was a four-sport athlete at Arcadia (Wis.) High School, competing in football, basketball, track & field and baseball.
