Athletic Training - Eagle Aide

EAGLE AIDE
For interested undergraduate students who are considering a career in sports medicine, this is an opportunity to learn and engage in aspects of the athletic training program. Only students who are willing to commit 8-10 hours per week (2 afternoons) for >2 semesters and adhere to program policies should apply. This program will NOT result in the ability to become a Certified Athletic Trainer, however, will provide the student the knowledge and resources to apply to an accredited graduate program for any career in sports medicine. The Eagle Aide program is not affiliated with the UWL Graduate Athletic Training Program and does not guarantee admittance into that program or any other.

Expectations:
•Professionalism at all times (dress code, social media, proper communication)
•Observance of injury treatments
•Potential to assist in ongoing research projects
•Assist in setup/takedown of practices and games
•Assist in maintenance of Athletic Training Center

This program is NOT:
•A program just to fulfill hours for observation or 328 experience. They can go together but we are not looking for only one semester commitments
•A strictly observational experience, you are going to be busy
•Just "something to do." We want engaged and dedicated people. If you have the desire, we will help you get to where you want to go in athletic training or related professions.
•A way to “hang out” with your friends on athletics teams at UWL

What You Need To Do to Apply
•Fill out the Qualtrics survey application (link: https://uwlax.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2bpVV11NTR1JUGy) and submit a letter of interest/cover letter
Once you are admitted into the program, you will receive additional steps to complete.
