NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Preview The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is set to host the 2015 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Midwest Baseball Regional May 13-17 at Copeland Park, located at 800 Copeland Avenue in La Crosse. It is also the home of the La Crosse Loggers Baseball Team, a member of the Northwoods League. The Loggers inaugural season at Copeland Park, a City of La Crosse owned facility, was in 2003. UW-La Crosse began playing its home schedule at Copeland Park in 2014.
UW-La Crosse earned an at-large bid to the national championships. The Eagles (28-12) are the second-seed and will host seventh-seeded The College of St. Scholastica, Minn. (32-11) Wednesday, May 13 at 7:45 p.m.
UW-Whitewater (33-9) is the top-seed for this year's Midwest Regional and faces eighth-seeded Ripon College, Wis. (23-14) at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday. Third-seeded Washington University, Mo. (33-14) plays sixth-seeded Concordia University-Chicago, Ill. (30-13) at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday while fourth-seeded Saint John's University, Minn. (26-14) faces fifth-seeded Coe College, Iowa (31-12) in the opening game of the regional at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

UW-La Crosse (Pool C), UW-Whitewater (Pool C) and Washington, Mo. (Pool B) earned at-large bids to this year's championships. Saint John's, Minn. (Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference); Coe, Iowa (Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference); Concordia-Chicago, Ill. (Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference); St. Scholastica, Minn. (Upper Midwest Athletic Conference) and Ripon, Wis. (Midwest Conference) secured automatic bids after winning its conference tournaments.
The winners of the eight regional tournaments will qualify for the double-elimination championship at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, Wisconsin scheduled for May 22-26. The championship format has changed into two four-team double-elimination pools with the winner of each pool meeting in a best-of-three series. Previously the format was an eight-team double-elimination tournament.
